Charles Hanson is one of the UK’s most recognisable auctioneers, known for his lively appearances on BBC’s Bargain Hunt, Flog It!, and Antiques Road Trip. With warmth, wit, and expert knowledge, he brings antiques to life for audiences across the country.
Charles began his career at Christie’s London in 1999, specialising in European Ceramics and Glass, before founding Hansons Auctioneers in Derbyshire in 2005. His business has since expanded nationwide, earning a trusted reputation among collectors and sellers.
A dynamic charity auctioneer and event host, Charles has helped raise millions for good causes. Whether on screen, in the saleroom, or on stage, his passion for antiques – and the stories they tell – continues to captivate and inspire.
