We are looking for an experienced retail professional to join our Outdoor Plant Department during the spring season.

These are temporary roles, starting mid-late Feb, finishing in June.

The Role…

The role is shop floor based, ensuring the area is kept neat and tidy and maintaining high standards of display.

Also assisting with plant care, plant care advice and offering exceptionally high levels of customer service.

Hours…

We have full time and part time positions available. Full time positions work 4 days during the week, 8:30am – 5:30pm and alternate weekends, Saturdays 9am – 5:30pm and Sundays 10am – 4:30pm.

Part time positions work the same shift hours, however 2-3 days a week plus alternate weekends.

Experience…

Candidates must be able to offer exceptionally high levels of customer service and be comfortable in a relatively physical role.

An interest in horticulture with previous experience or knowledge is desirable.

We have a part time role in our Warehouse, working every weekend.

The Role…

The role is supporting with unloading supplier deliveries and storing in the warehouse. Also scanning in deliveries to ensure an accurate stock record. 

Hours…

Working Saturdays 9am – 5:30pm and Sundays 10am – 4:30pm. 

Experience…

No previous experience is required, however experience in a similar role would be beneficial.

Candidates must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting. 

We have a vacancy in our fulfilment team, helping to pick, pack and manage customer orders and deliveries.

The role…

You will be responsible for:

  • Picking and packing orders, ensuring they are ready for delivery.
  • Arranging deliveries with the Warehouse Team and external courier.
  • Keep internal systems up to date with regards to order details and status.
  • Assisting with customer queries over the phone and via email.
  • Assist with Warehouse functions such as scanning goods in, ensuring stock allocation is correct and off-loading and filing deliveries.

The hours…

This is a full time role, working 4 days during the week 9am – 5:30pm and alternate weekends, Saturdays 9am – 5:30pm and Sundays 10am – 4:30pm.

Experience…

Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.

Candidates must have previous customer service experience and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The role involves using multiple systems so candidates must be computer literate and comfortable learning new systems.

This is a full time permanent position working 4 days during the week and one day at the weekend.

Hours are Monday – Saturday 8:30am – 5:30pm and Sundays 9:30am – 4:30pm

Job Title: Team Leader – Mulberry Tree FoH

Reports To: Catering Manager

Job Purpose
To ensure the smooth running of the Mulberry Tree Restaurant. Supporting the team to understand the different elements of the restaurant, follow food health and safety guidelines and ensure the best customer service is always offered.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supervising front of hours during peak meal times to ensure high standards are
  • Ensuring that all restaurant stations are sufficiently staffed and service is being carried out as outlined in training materials, on a daily basis.
  • Ensuring that checklists and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each day
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situation and/or busy periods, using initiative and proactive thinking to manage any issues that arise.
  • Lead by example by always offering excellent customer service, ensuring all interactions are professional and positive.
  • Act as the escalation point for customer complaints and queries.
  • Takes pride in department, ensuring it is kept clean and tidy including, counter tops, fridges, food containers and floors.
  • Assist with till training and till transactions, checking and authorising refunds when required.
  • Prioritising your own and your teams’ tasks on a daily and weekly basis. Making sure that all tasks that are set are completed in the appropriate timeframe.
  • Managing the team’s timekeeping & break times, ensuring that staff are punctual.
  • Build good working relationships with all departments and provide support and assistance where possible.
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen team to maintain efficient and timely service.
  • Proactively provide feedback to the Department Manager regarding ways of working and food being served to customers. Highlighting positive points as well as any areas of concern.
  • Work with the Manager and HR to conduct appraisals/reflections and ensure that return to
  • Complete and comply with all training, including health and safety and food hygiene training.
  • Ensure health and safety processes and checks are completed and recorded via Southalls.
  • Broaden and maintain knowledge relevant to department and products.
  • Assist with training team to ensure company processes are adhered to and standards are
  • Ensure that the department is maintained to be safe for team and customers and to report hazards or unsafe working practices if seen.
  • Be alert to shop lifters and raise concerns with Security or Managers quickly and discretely.
  • Promptly answer radio calls for information or customer assistance.

Required qualifications & experience

  • GCSE Maths & English to C or equivalent.
  • An ability to effectively communicate with team members.
  • Experience working front of house in a restaurant. (2 years)
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and safety protocols.

Preferred qualifications & experience

  • Experience working at a Team Leader or Supervisor level in a restaurant.
  • People Management experience.
