Throughout the evening Colin Farquhar, who assessed 52 South Thames GCA members, presented best practice examples he had seen from his travels earlier in the year as well as presenting members who topped the chart in their respective categories.
Ruxley’s Results
Ruxley Manor had a promising start, being awarded second place for the Customer Service Award, which covered all aspects of customer service, in person, over the phone and online. As the evening progressed, we were delighted to be awarded the Best Outdoor Living Award for destination garden centres as well as Best Catering Award. We were also awarded 11th best plant area in the country which meant we were the best plant area in the South Thames.

To really finish the evening on a high we were absolutely thrilled to be awarded the Best Overall Destination Garden Centre Award, an award that we have never previously won.
We were thrilled to win all of these awards and we know we couldn’t have won any of these without all the hard work and dedication of our team, and the support of yourselves, our customers.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the GCA, our hard working team members and all of our customers who have helped us to reach such a high standard within the industry. We’re now incredibly looking forward to the national results later this year!
