This is a permanent full time position working 4 days a week, 8am – 5pm.

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Reports To: General Manager

Job Purpose

To ensure the Garden Centre, Children’s Nurseries and surrounding grounds are well kept and in working order. To support the Retail Team with events and change of seasons which require renovations of existing customer spaces.

Role Responsibilities

  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, plumbing etc.)
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
  • Participate in coordination and implementation of projects (e.g. event builds, shop floor renovations etc).
  • Oversee maintenance contracts and ensure works are carried out and contracts are renewed at the best price.

Required qualifications & experience

  • Proven maintenance experience.
  • Related degree from a technical college.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.

Preferred qualifications & experience

  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Experience in carpentry (2 years).
  • Experience in plumbing (2 years).
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Eye for detail.

We are looking for a competent receptionist to manage our phone switchboard, greet and assist visitors and assist with office administrator duties.

The Role…

Being the first point of contact for all customers queries over the phone. Assisting customers as much as possible before transferring the call.

Greeting and assisting visitors.

Assisting with office duties such as stationery orders, topping up office supplies and filing.

Assisting Managers with adhoc administrative tasks.

Issuing and managing the stock of company uniform.

Assisting the HR Manager with managing recruitment queries and new applicants.

The Hours…

This is a part time role working Monday – Friday, 1:30pm – 5:30pm.

Experience…

Previous experience in a similar role is ideal, however not essential.

Candidates must have a good telephone manner and exceptional communication in verbal and written English.

Candidates must be computer literate and be able to use Outlook and Excel.

We are looking for a confident, hard working and experienced retail professional to join our Food Hall Team as a Team Leader.
 
The role…
Supporting and overseeing the day to day running of the Food Hall. Supporting the manager with stock orders, managing the shop floor and being present day to day. Training and managing the team to ensure the department is running smoothly, with tills staffed, stock replenished and overall the shop floor being kept neat, tidy and well presented.
 
The hours…
Working 4 days during the week 8:30am – 6pm and alternate weekends, Saturdays 8am – 6pm and Sundays 9:30am – 5pm.
 
Experience…
Candidates must have extensive retail experience (4+ years), ideally with food management.
The ideal candidate will have experience running a department and/or team.
We are looking for a confident, hard working and experienced retail and horticulture professional to join our Lifestyle Department as a Team Leader for our Indoor Plant section.
 
The role…
Supporting and overseeing the day to day running of the Indoor Plant Department. Supporting the manager with stock orders, managing the shop floor and being present day to day. Training and managing the team to ensure the department is running smoothly, administering relevant plant care and being able to offer exceptional customer service and horticulture advice to customers.
 
The hours…
Working 4 days during the week 9am – 5:30pm and alternate weekends, Saturdays 9am – 5:30pm and Sundays 10am – 4:30pm.
 
Experience…
Candidates must have extensive retail experience (4+ years).
Candidates must have horticulture knowledge and experience, ideally with indoor plant types.
The ideal candidate will have experience running a department and/or team.
We are looking for a competent Buying Assistant to assist with the buying for our Leisure Department.
 
The role…
This is an admin focused role, assisting with reviewing and updating range sheets, submitting orders and ensuring our EPOS system is kept up to date with product descriptions, barcodes and prices.
 
Experience…
Previous experience in a similair or admin based role is ideal.
All candidates must be computer literate and confident using Excel.
 
Hours…
This is a full time role working 4 days during the week, 9am – 5:30pm and alternate weekends, Saturdays 9am – 5:30pm and Sundays 10am – 4:30pm.
