This is a permanent full time position working Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.

Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor                             Reports To: General Manager

Job Purpose

 To ensure the Garden Centre, Children’s Nurseries and surrounding grounds are well kept and in working order. To support the Retail Team with events and change of seasons which require renovations of existing customer spaces.  

Role Responsibilities

  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
  • Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, plumbing etc.)
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
  • Participate in coordination and implementation of projects (e.g. event builds, shop floor renovations etc).
  • Oversee maintenance contracts and ensure works are carried out and contracts are renewed at the best price.

Required qualifications & experience

  • Proven maintenance experience.
  • Related degree from a technical college.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.

 

Preferred qualifications & experience

  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Experience in carpentry (2 years).
  • Experience in plumbing (2 years).
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills.
  • Eye for detail.

We are looking for aspiring actors and actresses as well as those who would enjoy working with children to join us as elves in our Christmas Grotto. 

Our Christmas Grotto opens on 13th November until 24th December and is open 7 days a week.

We have shifts available from 8:30am – 4:30pm and 4pm – 8:30pm.

We are looking for junior or aspiring chefs to join our busy Mulberry Tree kitchen team over the Christmas season. 

We have have two full time vacancies available, working 4 days during the week and 1 day at the weekend. Hours Monday – Saturday are 8am – 4:30pm and Sundays 9am – 5pm. 

The main focus of the role is to assist with prep work and assist on our Deli counter, making sandwiches. Previous experience is preferred but not essential.

We are looking for seasonal team to join our Mulberry Tree Restaurant through the busy Christmas season.

We have roles available front of house and back of house and are looking for candidates who are available to work 2-4 days during the week and 1 day at the weekend.

We have full day shifts available 9am – 5pm or shorter shifts of 10:30am – 3:30pm.
