We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in supporting the continued success of our diverse group of businesses.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the finance functions across multiple entities and lead a small finance and payroll team while providing strategic financial support to the Board of Directors and wider management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts through to trial balance.
- Produce accurate financial reports and management information to support decision making.
- Partner with managers across the business to review financial performance, monitor expenditure and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Challenge and support budget holders in managing overheads, labour costs and operational efficiencies.
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning processes.
- Support the Board of Directors with strategic planning, commercial analysis and business performance reporting.
- Analyse market trends and key business drivers, providing insight to support growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, reporting standards and statutory requirements.
- Manage accounting operations, cash flow and financial controls across the group.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns within a complex VAT group structure.
- Oversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with auditors, solicitors, bankers and other external stakeholders.
- Lead, coach and develop the finance and payroll team.
- Drive continuous improvement within financial processes and systems.
- Produce ad hoc financial analysis and reports as required.
About You
You will be a proactive and confident finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and influencing decision making across the business.
Essential Requirements
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA) or qualified by experience (QBE).
- Strong financial and management accounting experience.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- High attention to detail and strong
organisational skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within a retail, hospitality, leisure or childcare environment.
- Experience working within a varied or multi-site finance function.
- Previous people management experience.

We're looking for an experienced Chef de Partie who takes pride in producing high-quality food and enjoys working as part of a close-knit kitchen team.
We are a family business committed to serving homemade, quality food in a welcoming environment.
In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, supporting busy service periods, managing stock and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. You'll also can contribute ideas and work alongside a team that genuinely supports one another.
Hours:
- 8:00am – 4:30pm
- 4 weekdays and alternate weekends
- No evening shifts
