Temporary Cleaner - Part-time
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team on a temporary basis.
Candidates must be available to start immediately.
The Role
- Clean customer toilets regularly throughout the day.
- Sweep and mop floors across indoor departments.
- Empty customer and toilet bins.
- Clean up spills and other ad hoc messes promptly.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and report when stock needs replenishing.
- Help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.
The Hours: Wednesdays: 9.30am – 5pm and alternate weekends, Saturdays and Sundays (8am – 10am)
This is a fixed-term, part-time position with the potential to be extended.
Team Leader – Lifestyle Dept - Full-time
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Lifestyle department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys leading a team, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high retail standards.
Working closely with the Leisure Manager, you'll support the department, helping to drive sales, maintain excellent merchandising and stock standards, and create an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. You'll also play an important role in motivating and developing the team while ensuring the department is safe, well presented and operating efficiently.
What we're looking for
- Previous retail experience.
- Experience in merchandising and stock management.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience is desirable.
- Experience managing or coaching a team is an advantage.
This is a full-time role, working four weekdays and every other weekend.
- Weekdays: 8:30am–5:30pm
- Alternate Saturdays: 9:30am–5:30pm
- Alternate Sundays: 10:00am–4:30pm

About the role
Our Mulberry Tree Restaurant is situated within Ruxley Manor Garden Centre and is open seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to join our busy kitchen team.
The role will primarily involve ensuring all crockery, cutlery, kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned efficiently, either using the dishwasher or by hand. You will also assist with putting away deliveries and restocking crockery, cutlery and other items in the front-of-house areas.
No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. However, you should be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment and be willing to support the wider team when required.

Maintenance Operative (Handyperson) - Full-time
We are looking for someone to start from Late August until the end of November, with the possibility of an extension.
We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Operative to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a standalone role for someone who takes pride in fixing things and keeping sites in great condition. You’ll be expected to carry out repairs for Ruxley Manor Garden Centre and Grace's Day Nursery and have good all-round DIY skills, including carpentry, plumbing and decorating.

Christmas Elf - Full & part time roles available
Do you love Christmas? Are you fun, energetic, confident and great with children? If so, we'd love you to join our Christmas Grotto team as one of Santa's Elves!
As one of our Elves, you'll help create a magical and memorable experience for visiting families.
You'll work in costume and character throughout your shift, interacting with children, supporting Santa, helping guests through the grotto experience and bringing festive cheer to every visit.
Some singing, dancing and performance elements are involved, so applicants with an interest in drama, performing arts or entertainment may be particularly suited to the role.
Experience is not essential. If you're enthusiastic, enjoy interacting with people, and aren't afraid to be a little silly, we'd love to hear from you.
