We're looking for a friendly, enthusiastic General Assistant to join our Indoor Plants team on alternate weekends. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in creating beautiful displays and has an interest in houseplants.
What you'll be doing
- Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their purchases.
- Caring for and watering our indoor plants to keep them looking their best.
- Replenishing stock and maintaining attractive displays.
- Keeping the department clean, tidy, and well organised.
- Assisting with deliveries and general day-to-day tasks.
Hours: Alternate weekends, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Previous retail or horticultural experience is beneficial but not essential, we're happy to provide training for the right person.

We're looking for a hands-on Maintenance Operative to join our team on a temporary basis. This is a standalone role for someone who takes pride in fixing things and keeping sites in great condition. You’ll be expected to carry out repairs for Ruxley Manor Garden Centre and Grace's Day Nursery and have good all-round DIY skills, including carpentry, plumbing and decorating.
Shifts: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (8am – 5pm), plus alternate weekends

In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, supporting busy service periods, managing stock and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.
